Position Overview:
Responsible for overseeing and enhancing current credit portfolios. Supervise lending personnel. Assess and determine the credit risks associated with commercial clients through comprehensive analysis. Prepare Allowance for Credit Losses (CECL).

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Oversight:

Manage all facets of lending operations, encompassing commercial, consumer, mortgage, and small business lending, to ensure a balanced and diversified loan portfolio.


Risk Oversight:

Establish and implement effective risk management strategies to reduce credit, operational, and compliance risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Oversee collection and foreclosure processes.

Business Expansion:

Drive business development efforts to broaden the bank's lending presence, foster new client relationships, and seize growth opportunities within the local market.


Credit Evaluation:

Offer strategic direction and supervision to the credit evaluation process, ensuring sound lending decisions, prudent risk assessment, and compliance with credit policies.

Assist in the creation of commercial loan presentations and annual reviews.

Financial Analysis:

Analyze and review all relevant credit and financial data, including financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, appraisals, internal credit assessments, industry research, and peer comparisons.


Reporting to the Board:
Manage and prepare Allowance for Credit Losses (CECL) and various other reports. Participate in monthly board meetings.

Team Leadership:
Supervise a team of 8 lending professionals and loan operations staff.

Portfolio Development:
Actively promote and cultivate new loan and deposit business for the institution, either personally or through team members. This role will manage a portfolio and is accountable for new production.

This position may require travel to various locations to engage with management, staff, and others, while maintaining an on-site presence for effective performance.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.


A minimum of five years of experience in senior leadership roles within commercial or small business banking, focusing on lending, business development, portfolio management, operations, and credit risk management.

Comprehensive understanding of lending products, underwriting principles, lending regulations, and compliance requirements.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
