Infectious Disease Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Infectious Disease Attending Physician to join our team at Upstate University Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing care to patients with a diverse mix of infectious diseases, as well as experience in in- and out-patient ID consultation, infection control, and antibiotic stewardship.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care to individuals with infectious diseases
- Offer in- and out-patient ID consultation services
- Develop and implement infection control and antibiotic stewardship policies and procedures
- Teach and mentor medical students, interns, residents, and fellows
Requirements:
- MD/DO degree
- Board certification in Infectious Diseases
- New York State medical license or eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical research experience
- Experience as an independent HIV/ID clinician
- Experience as an attending physician supervising and teaching residents and students
Work Environment:
Monday through Friday daytime hours with rotating on-call shifts
Compensation:
