Transforming Data into Action to End Youth Homelessness

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Expert to join our team at A Way Home Washington (AWHWA). As a key member of our data-driven approach, you will play a crucial role in identifying high-impact data analytics projects that inform our strategy to prevent and end youth homelessness in Washington state.

About the Role
  • Work closely with our Data & Evaluation Director and Anchor Community Initiative Team to identify high-impact data analytics projects that align with our strategic priorities.
  • Design, implement, and maintain community data transformation tools to support our efforts to reduce and end racial/LGBTQ+ disproportionality in youth homelessness.
  • Collaborate with young people with lived experience, partners, consultants, and other entities working to end youth homelessness to facilitate alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop efficient and reproducible data processing/scraping pipelines to ensure accurate and timely data insights.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise to state and local agencies on improving homeless system data quality and infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team.
