About the Role

American Institutes for Research is seeking a skilled Python Programmer, Health to join our Health team. Our team of experts works collaboratively to unravel the complex challenges of healthcare quality, costs, and access.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Apply quantitative methods and techniques to manage and analyze research data.
  2. Construct, clean, and document large datasets for both internal and project-related use.
  3. Conduct literature reviews of technical and professional publications.
  4. Create customized and presentation-quality reports from data analysis results.
  5. Participate in the design of research studies.
  6. Manage administrative aspects of projects.
  7. Support the preparation of technical procedures and reports.
  8. Write, compile, and edit assigned portions of proposals and project reports.
  9. Review work products to ensure quality and consistency of content.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative analytics field with a minimum of 2 years of quantitative research experience in health policy or a related field, or a Master's degree in a quantitative analytics field, health policy, public policy, or public health.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and data management techniques.
  • Experience with Python programming.
  • Experience with statistical packages like SAS is preferred but not required.
  • Experience analyzing Medicare, Medicaid, or other commercial claims data is preferred but not required.
  • Proposal and report preparation experience is preferred but not required.
