Position Overview:

The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator-RN is a pivotal role that balances participant engagement, initiation of research studies, coordination, and management of research data. This position may assist the leadership team with project management tasks, including the setup of retrospective studies and development of case report forms. The individual in this role must effectively organize the intricate components of various research protocols, ensuring timely scheduling and coordination of required study procedures. Close collaboration with the research team is essential to maintain compliance with research protocols and related activities. Critical thinking, self-motivation, and the ability to work autonomously are vital for success in this role, as it involves working alongside physician investigators and other research team members. This position offers a unique opportunity for continuous learning and active participation in shaping the future of research. A strong enthusiasm for learning and the ability to communicate effectively with participants, physicians, nurses, and other staff about the research process are required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred; graduation from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of nursing experience is preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in research and/or child development/assessment is preferred.
  • One or more years of experience interacting with children in a professional capacity is preferred.

Licensure:

  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota or meet the requirements for multi-state licensure.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, daytime hours; 80 hours over two weeks.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a starting rate of $46.50 per hour.
