Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple projects within the Midwest region. This role involves managing various aspects of construction projects, including safety protocols, budget oversight, contract management, scheduling, and coordination with trade contractors and suppliers. Projects will vary in size and complexity, with a particular emphasis on waste water treatment facility construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
  • Lead the procurement process for upcoming projects while building client relationships.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to generate new leads through networking with architects, consultants, and potential clients.
  • Prepare and present proposals, including project schedules that accurately reflect timelines and critical issues.
  • Facilitate effective communication between senior management and project owners.
  • Provide leadership to project teams, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery.
  • Understand and communicate the financial objectives of projects to the team, managing expectations effectively.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project stakeholders to discuss progress and address any issues.
  • Oversee job safety requirements and report any hazards on-site.
  • Manage project documentation, including shop drawings and change orders.
  • Ensure timely submission of project close-out documents and warranties.
  • Mentor and develop project management teams, fostering a collaborative environment.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, with 8+ years of project management experience, including managing projects valued at over $50 million.
  • Proven leadership experience with at least 2 years in a people management role.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contract types, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships.
