Position Overview:

This role is crucial for managing and overseeing multiple construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, budget management, contract negotiations, scheduling, and coordination with trade contractors and suppliers. Projects vary in size and complexity, focusing primarily on waste water treatment facility construction. You will lead project teams alongside a Superintendent, providing expertise and leadership to the regional project management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assume accountability for maintaining a safe work environment in line with an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture.
  • Collaborate in securing future projects while building lasting client relationships.
  • Drive marketing initiatives alongside business development teams to generate new leads.
  • Prepare and present proposals, ensuring accurate project timelines and addressing critical issues.
  • Implement and manage the Continuous Care program.
  • Facilitate communication between senior management and project owners.
  • Provide leadership throughout project lifecycles to ensure timely and quality outcomes.
  • Communicate financial goals to project teams and manage expectations effectively.
  • Conduct regular site meetings with key stakeholders to monitor progress and address concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with job safety requirements and report any hazards promptly.
  • Oversee the maintenance of contractor and supplier logs.
  • Review project documentation for compliance and coordination.
  • Manage the timely submission and execution of project changes.
  • Set realistic deadlines for project documentation and ensure timely completion.
  • Foster a collaborative environment among project participants.
  • Assist in developing and managing performance goals for team members.
  • Provide mentorship and support to project managers and team members.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field with 8+ years of project management experience, or an associate degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and standards.
  • Ability to interpret building plans and specifications.
  • Experience with various contract types and delivery methods.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards in all business dealings.
