Job Summary:

A.T. Still University is seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and restoration of the University's buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure equipment is operating correctly and the campus is clean.

Perform preventative maintenance, including semi-skilled carpentry, painting, plastering, and limited heating and air conditioning work.

Perform minor plumbing work, including replacing faucets and clearing drains.

Repair and replace general hardware.

Operate carpet cleaning machinery.

Troubleshoot general building system issues and problems.

Move furniture and other campus equipment.

Assist vendors.

Repair furniture.

Process and respond to work requests.

Replace light bulbs.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

1-2 years of experience working under a general contractor and working with a building trade.

Experience performing building maintenance tasks in a large commercial, residential, or educational environment.

Ability to operate common power tools.

Ability to interpret drawings and procedures.

Knowledge or experience using various construction, carpet cleaning, and maintenance equipment.

Valid driver's license required.
