Regional Human Resources Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Human Resources Director to join our team at the American Heart Association. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR guidance and support to our leaders and employees in the Midwest region.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement HR strategies and solutions that align with the Association's goals and objectives.
- Lead HR programs and regional learning and development activities, including leadership development and virtual trainings.
- Provide coaching and development support to employees and managers, including creating development plans and conducting check-in calls.
- Advise employees and managers on HR programs and procedures, including onboarding, employee relations, employee engagement, organizational development, and talent succession.
- Utilize HR metrics, data, and reports to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in culture, leadership, processes, and practices.
- Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying barriers to performance, implementing and evaluating coaching/development strategies, and mentoring and counseling managers and employees.
- Lead assigned region-wide HR projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, SPHR/PHR preferred.
- Three (3) years of proven experience in HR, with at least two (2) years of experience providing employee and leadership coaching.
- Training facilitation experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with effective interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to and influence individuals at all levels.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, maintaining compliance, and ensuring adherence to internal policies/procedures.
- Exceptional Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Ability to complete and manage a variety of tasks/projects, particularly when faced with competing demands and priorities.
- Ability to travel up to 10% local and overnight.
