Job Title: Education Technician II

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Technician II to join our team at Biddeford Schools. As an Education Technician II, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs and providing behavioral support in a middle school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with special needs in a middle school setting, providing behavioral support and accommodations as needed.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Provide behavioral support and interventions to students, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Assist with classroom management and organization, including preparing materials and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a middle school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including standing, walking, and lifting.
