Job Summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to support a leading manufacturing company in the development of cutting-edge products. This is an on-site role located in a dynamic environment with a competitive hourly rate of $35 to $45.

Key Responsibilities
  • Soldering and Reworking: Expertly solder and rework fine-pitch SMT components to ensure high-quality product assembly.
  • PCB Assembly and Testing: Attach probes and wires to printed circuit boards, and conduct thorough testing to ensure optimal performance.
  • Lab Organization and Maintenance: Organize and maintain lab assets, lab stations, and storage space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Prototyping and Development: Assist in prototyping harnesses, test station setup/teardown, and procure and maintain a stock of R&D and repair hardware supplies.
Requirements
  • No Degree Required: We welcome candidates with 3+ years of experience in soldering, reworking, and related experience across various SMT components.
  • Expertise in PCBA Rework: Proven expertise with PCBA rework, wire harnessing, and electromechanical assembly within an R&D or advanced prototyping environment.
  • Test Equipment Experience: Experience with test equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
  • Adaptability and Prioritization: Ability to quickly change direction and prioritize work across multiple tasks, including harness-making, PCB rework, and lab organization.
  • Electronic Schematic and Layout Tools: Familiarity with electronic schematic and layout tools, with Altium experience preferred.
  • Safety, Security, and Quality Standards: Champion safety, security, and quality standards in all aspects of the job.
Nice to Haves
  • Electrical Engineering Degree: A degree in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable.
  • 10+ Years of Experience: Candidates with 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering and manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
  • Prototyping and Test Experience: Experience in prototyping simple circuits and test boxes to simulate real functional inputs is a plus.
  • Troubleshooting and Document Control: Experience in troubleshooting at the component level and document control is highly valued.
  • Design Tools: Familiarity with design tools, including Altium, is a strong asset.
