Job Summary

This role is responsible for directing job assignments and supporting the Precooked line workers and operation in the department. The successful candidate will train new line workers and operators, and assist the shift supervisor in managing the Packaging Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all jobs in the area, including oven operation, mixing, line work, doboy, robot, and forklift.
  • Monitor product and standards, making changes to operation to ensure high-quality product.
  • Supervise and advise employees on task completion.
  • Disassemble and assemble equipment, perform CIPs and sanitation as required.
  • Detect and correct GMP/Safety violations.
  • Oversee mix person and time lines, perform minor maintenance work.
  • Act upon employee issues, may fill in for Area Supervisor as needed.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training program and forklift certification.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees in English.
