About the Role

We are primarily a venture capital firm focused on making Indiana the Innovation Capital of the world through cross sector innovation driven enterprises. Our investment strategy is centered around identifying and investing in promising startups across various industries, with a strong focus on life sciences and healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate new investment opportunities, conducting preliminary due diligence on potential investments, and analyzing the company's business plan, financial performance, and market potential.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of the company's business strategy, including marketing plans, development roadmaps, and financial projections, to ensure they are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Audit investment presentations and supporting materials to ensure companies are well-prepared to articulate their business and investment opportunity.
  • Support portfolio companies through direct coaching, connections to resources, and sponsorship of follow-on investments.
  • Represent Elevate Ventures on select company boards, providing strategic guidance and support to help companies achieve their growth objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of starting and growing innovation-driven enterprises, with a strong understanding of life sciences and healthcare.
  • Experience raising capital for innovation-driven enterprises or investing in innovation-driven enterprises for a positive return.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of business fundamentals, including finance, marketing, and operations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a history of providing guidance and support to others on all aspects of business.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a quickly changing environment, with a strong focus on adaptability and flexibility.
