The Chief Investment Officer for North America plays a pivotal role in articulating and positioning NTAM's investment perspectives within the broader market landscape, facilitating client interactions across the Wealth Client Group and the Global Institutional Client Group.


Furthermore, this role involves active participation in discussions that shape the firm's economic and market outlook.

Collaboration with the Asset Allocation CIO and other investment leaders is essential to develop and disseminate insights for clients, while enhancing visibility through industry and media engagements.

The team will be integral to our client engagement strategy, aiming to communicate consistent market perspectives tailored to the diverse needs of our primary client segments:

Wealth Client Group:
Deliver insights through the Investment Institute; produce thought leadership and insights that support advisors and their clients.

Institutional Client Group:
Establish a team dedicated to providing insightful market content to institutions both domestically and internationally.

This position will report directly to the Global Chief Investment Officer.

Key Responsibilities


Engage actively in various investment committees and contribute to the development of the firm's economic and market perspectives.


Interact with clients and prospects to grasp their unique research requirements, investment objectives, and risk appetites, thereby personalizing the narrative that reflects the firm's market insights.

The team must possess a comprehensive understanding of client segments to deliver consistent views while recognizing the distinct goals and preferences of each segment.

Collaborate with investment teams, economists, and product groups to create thought leadership content for both internal and external stakeholders. Organize and publish outcomes from research meetings and generate investment commentaries that align with client needs.

Develop insights and thought leadership on significant market events and trends to guide investment decision-making. Strategists will provide timely commentary on relevant issues in line with prevailing house views on asset classes.

Experience

A college or university degree and/or relevant proven experience in investment management with leadership capabilities is essential. An advanced degree or related industry qualification (e.g., CFA, CAIA) is preferred. A minimum of 15 years of experience in investment management as a portfolio manager or analyst is required.

Outstanding public speaking abilities are necessary, including at least 5 years of regular media speaking engagements.

Extensive experience in delivering keynote presentations to large audiences is also required.
