Key Responsibilities- Design and Implementation of electrical systems for construction projects, including power distribution, lighting, and communication systems.
- Collaboration with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure electrical designs align with project requirements and specifications.
- Site Inspections to ensure electrical systems are installed according to design and comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Preparation and review of technical drawings, electrical schematics, and documentation for construction projects.
- Management and coordination of subcontractors involved in electrical system installation.
- Electrical Load Calculations and system design for large-scale commercial, industrial, or residential projects.
- Identification of potential issues and provision of engineering solutions to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as electrical safety standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA).
- Participation in project meetings to report on the status of electrical systems and resolve any challenges that arise during the construction process.
- Energy-Efficient Solutions to optimize performance and sustainability.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software for creating electrical drawings and models.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
- Experience in managing electrical contractors and working with multidisciplinary teams on construction sites.
- Ability to perform electrical load calculations and system design for large-scale commercial, industrial, or residential projects.
- Excellent Problem-Solving Skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward licensure.
- Experience with renewable energy systems (solar, wind) or energy-efficient building technologies.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and LEED certification processes.
- Knowledge of electrical project management software.
