The Credit Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the Accounts Receivable portfolio for Doggett Services. This role requires a strong understanding of the Texas and Louisiana Lien Law process, as well as experience with 3rd party payable portals.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts receivable
- Conduct thorough research on short payments and disputed invoices
- Communicate effectively with sales department to resolve issues
- Provide credit approval for charges on receivable accounts held by Doggett
- Prepare and send demand letters to customers
- Collaborate with Credit Management on projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred but not required)
- 4+ years of experience in accounts receivables and collections
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Excel
- Excellent customer relations and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
This position will work in an air-conditioned office, with occasional outdoor business meetings with customers. The Credit Specialist must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation, efficiently and accurately, and without causing significant safety threats to self or others.
