Job Title: Security Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and assess security controls within information systems
  • Develop and maintain risk management frameworks and security policies
  • Collaborate with information system owners, risk managers, and security professionals to ensure the implementation, identification, and tracking of security control implementation
  • Monitor progress of remediation and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
  • Provide security subject matter expertise and support to clients

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working with information technology (IT) or within the cybersecurity field
  • Experience implementing or assessing security controls within an information system
  • Knowledge of the risk management framework and NIST
  • Ability to effectively monitor progress of remediation
  • Ability to work with information systems owners, risk managers, and security professionals to ensure the implementation, identification, and tracking of security control implementation within an information system
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Associate's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting non-traditional IT systems and Linux
  • DoD 8570 compliant Information Assurance Management Level I or higher Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
