Gretchen's House is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Head Start Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young children and their families.
Job Summary:We are looking for a qualified and experienced Early Head Start Teacher to work with our team of educators and support staff to provide high-quality early childhood education and care to children from birth to age 3. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to child development and a passion for working with young children and their families.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in young children.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure seamless transitions and a cohesive approach to child care and education.
- Communicate effectively with families through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices in early childhood education and care.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working with young children and their families in a group care setting.
- Immunization requirements: MMR, Tdap, Hep B, Varicella, Annual influenza, and Covid-19 boosters.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and children.
- Strong commitment to child development and a passion for working with young children and their families.
- $37,000-$40,000 salary range.
- 4 weeks of paid time off and 13-15 paid holidays.
