Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Corrections Oversight Worker to join our team at Aramark. As a Corrections Oversight Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our correctional facility food service. Your primary responsibility will be to supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly, ensuring that all meals are prepared in accordance with production plans and Aramark standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly, adhering to Aramark standards and production plans.
  • Ensure timely and efficient meal service, adhering to all Aramark guidelines.
  • Participate in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Train inmates in the use of Aramark recipes and proper cooking procedures.
  • Ensure proper portions and special dietary requirements are fulfilled.
  • Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
  • Adhere to security policies and procedures, ensuring that all kitchen tools and equipment are returned to their designated secure area.
  • Assist in conducting inventory, receiving, and storing food and food-related items, requisitioning orders as needed.
  • Participate in the preparation, storage, and assembly of meals and food items, following Aramark's Standard of Operation for food handling and storage.
Requirements
  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of food prep or related work experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience interacting with inmates a plus.
  • Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members to attain quality and quantity of food production in a correctional work environment.
  • Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and tact.
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and policies.
  • Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.
