Medical Affairs Specialist

The Medical Affairs Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating the operations of the Medical Staff. This position involves organizing meetings and special events for the Medical Staff, as well as managing the Medical Affairs budget effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Meeting Coordination: Organizes and oversees Medical Staff meetings, ensuring all necessary materials and logistics are in place.
- Budget Management: Develops and maintains the budget for Medical Affairs, ensuring financial resources are allocated appropriately.
- Communication: Acts as a liaison between Medical Staff leaders and administration, addressing issues and disseminating important information.
- Credentialing Support: Works closely with the Credentials Committee and other relevant parties to facilitate the credentialing process for new practitioners.
- Data Management: Assists in the collection of data for Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) to meet compliance standards.
- Onboarding Activities: Coordinates onboarding processes for new physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APP), ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Event Coordination: Plans and executes physician networking events and satisfaction initiatives, promoting collaboration among Medical Staff.
- Administrative Support: Provides comprehensive administrative assistance to the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Staff leadership as required.
Certification: Certified Notary Public upon start.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related field.
Education: Associate Degree in a relevant discipline.
This role is essential in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the Medical Staff operations at Inova Health System.
