Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Quality Engineer for its Global Instrumentation & Control (I&C) business. This position is located in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, and involves working with complex, electro-mechanical instrumentation systems used in the commercial nuclear industry.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Westinghouse's Quality Management System, customer contract requirements, industry and regulatory codes, standards, specifications, and requirements. This includes recommending, developing, and implementing Product Line and departmental Quality policies, procedures, and instructions.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technical or quality discipline and 2 years of experience in Quality Control. Knowledge of quality assurance concepts and principles, as well as an understanding of the commercial nuclear industry, is required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing project surveillance programs to ensure compliance with technical specifications
  • Participating on self-assessments and/or internal audits of Westinghouse Global I&C departments
  • Representing Westinghouse and providing input during external QA audits
