About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Product Designer to join our Enterprise Trust team at Atlassian. As a key member of our Usability at Scale Program Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our design vision and strategy for scalable customer experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the strategic vision for our scalable customer experiences across the Usability at Scale landscape.
  • Apply systems thinking and ability to understand complex relationships between various products, channels, and features to drive better design outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance our products and platforms to enable Usability at scale for our customers.
  • Support the Head of Design with craft-related topics, advising on best practices for processes and rituals.
  • Help improve craft quality for all design specializations in your team.
  • Drive design reviews, design crits, and be the design craft leader and coach to other designers to ensure consistent and cohesive scalable experiences.
  • Partner with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional team members to create a unified design view of what defines scalable experiences and capabilities across Atlassian.
  • Lead design projects from creation to execution and be responsible for tying back to customer value delivery and outcomes.
  • Identify success metrics ensuring design solutions continue to deliver customer value.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of product design experience designing complex or enterprise-level software.
  • Experience in creating and delivering strategic org-wide design programs that impact multiple delivery teams.
  • Very strong skillset in visual and interaction design which enables you to guide the team and help improve their design craft, demonstrable in a visual portfolio.
  • Ability to visually communicate your work for influence and impact.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and navigate strong platform complexity, bringing clarity and simplicity to complex problems.
  • Experience in end-to-end UX/product design to design impactful solutions to challenging problems.
  • Passion for story-telling, the ability to bring design direction to life with compelling narrative.
  • Experience balancing customer needs with business goals, market viability, and technical feasibility.
  • Facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills: you can demonstrate the ability to integrate the work of multiple teams, solicit and synthesize feedback, and facilitate design discussions that lead company-wide outcomes and positively influence future delivery roadmaps.
  • Experience in design systems, and the ability to identify common components required to support a wide array of customer use cases.
  • Experience measuring success with qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Experience improving process and methodology to increase product value, team velocity, and accelerate the adoption of new capabilities.
Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable and explainable compensation programs. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

  • Zone A: $216,600 - $288,800
  • Zone B: $194,900 - $259,900
  • Zone C: $179,800 - $239,700
