We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Alumni Engagement Events to join our team at William & Mary. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing event experiences that engage and cultivate alumni, friends, and donors in support of the university's engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive event plans from conception to execution, including event marketing and promotion.
- Collaborate with colleagues in University Marketing, University Advancement, and across campus to ensure alignment with university goals and objectives.
- Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment.
- Work closely with volunteers and constituents to ensure successful event execution.
- Monitor and evaluate event effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in event planning or coordination, preferably in a higher education or non-profit setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and event management software.
- Experience with event marketing and promotion, including social media and email marketing.
- Knowledge of Blackbaud or other CRM systems.
- Experience leading on-site event management and resolving logistical issues.
