About Our Team:
We are dedicated to overseeing all facets of external financial disclosures, investigating and documenting the application of emerging accounting standards, managing the coordination of annual audits and quarterly assessments, and performing research on intricate accounting transactions while documenting our findings.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the preparation and coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external reporting packages.
2. Manage the financial statement audit process and liaise with external audit teams.
3. Identify, investigate, and document the Company's technical accounting transactions; collaborate proactively with external auditors to ensure timely resolution of technical accounting issues.
4. Act as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and related reporting requirements.
5. Conduct technical accounting research on complex transactions and new accounting standards.
6. Develop and document accounting policy positions, procedures, and control environments, communicating these to the broader Finance and Accounting teams.
7. Assess business transactions for appropriate U.S. GAAP accounting treatment, including accounting and disclosure recommendations, and prepare technical memorandums for significant or non-routine transactions.
8. Support financial due diligence and integration of M&A transactions as necessary.
9. Review accounting practices, monthly journal entries, and reconciliations for stock-based compensation, goodwill, investments, and other non-routine transactions.
10. Assist with month-end closing processes and financial statement reviews.
11. Engage in ad hoc projects, analyses, and reporting as required by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Strong management capabilities and the ability to foster support across various functions.
- 6+ years of professional experience, including at least 4+ years in public accounting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with strong technical writing skills and experience in managing complex U.S. GAAP accounting matters, demonstrating the ability to research and clearly articulate intricate technical accounting issues.
- Proven ability to establish and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with extensive experience in managing multiple complex assignments simultaneously.
- High integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive and proprietary information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present recommendations clearly and concisely.
