Senior Financial Analyst

Halo Industries is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and technical accounting standards.
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory requirements, as well as providing guidance on complex accounting issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of accounting principles, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Research and analyze technical accounting issues, including new accounting standards and pronouncements, and provide guidance to management and other stakeholders.
- Lead the implementation of new accounting standards, including the assessment of the impact on financial statements and internal controls.
- Review and analyze financial statements and disclosures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and external auditors, to address accounting-related matters and support the financial reporting process.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting standards including ASC 606 and ASC 842.
- Experience researching and interpreting complex accounting issues and providing practical guidance and analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders.
- Experience working in a public accounting firm (i.e., Big 4) SOX and SEC reporting experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software applications.
