About the Role

Abbott Laboratories is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Enterprise Accounts commercial team in Santa Clara, CA. As a key member of our Medical Device Division's FP&A team, you will partner with leadership to drive financial ownership, discipline, and business excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and analyses to support the Annual Plan and Latest Best Estimate (LBE) quarterly forecast process.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Functional teams to analyze sales and P&L performance versus financial benchmarks.
  • Support the month-end close process and reporting of monthly financial performance metrics.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries and variance analysis to inform financial decision-making.
  • Execute compensation planning and performance measurement.
  • Support cross-business unit deal planning and financial modeling.
  • Develop flexible tools and templates to support corporate schedules and drive process improvements.
  • Maintain an efficient planning process, coordinating with key stakeholders and delivering timely results.
  • Perform ad-hoc requests and drive cross-business analytic projects for senior management.
Requirements
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or related field.
  • 3+ years of Financial Planning and Analysis experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or advanced education degree.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software systems.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate financial results for various audiences.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
