Job Title: Clinical Psychologist - Eating Disorders Specialist

Emory University is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in the Department of Pediatrics, Emory University School of Medicine. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Center for Behavioral and Mental Health at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to provide mental health services for medically complex children.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Psychologist will work with a diverse population of children and adolescents with eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, atypical anorexia, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). The successful candidate will provide evidence-based evaluation and treatment, including individual, family, and group therapy. The psychologist will also participate in program development and lead a team of mental health professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for each patient.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-based evaluation and treatment for children and adolescents with eating disorders
  • Develop and lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions
  • Participate in program development and lead a team of mental health professionals
  • Collaborate with child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, and other behavioral and mental health professionals to develop comprehensive care plans
  • Provide supervision and leadership for masters-level clinicians within the eating disorders program
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA/CPA accredited program
  • Completed an APA accredited child internship
  • Licensed or licensed-eligible in Georgia prior to employment
  • Board certification within hospital timelines
