Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychologist to join our team at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta. As a Psychologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to adults with severe mental illness, trauma histories, impulse control issues, and interpersonal challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological assessments, behavioral interventions, individual therapy, and group interventions to support the recovery of our patients.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Participate in training and education programs to stay up-to-date on best practices and evidence-based treatments.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited college or university.
  • Current Georgia license to practice psychology.
  • One year of experience at the lower level Psychologist 1 (HCP140) or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Competency in providing services to diverse clients.
  • Experience working with psychiatric inpatients and individuals with Serious Mental Illness.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  • Experience collaborating on interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in psychological assessment.
