Faculty Position in Neurological Disease Research

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as a faculty member in the Department of Neurology at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals. The successful candidate will have a joint faculty appointment as an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the In Residence faculty series in the Department of Neurology or another suitable department, and in relevant graduate training programs.
About the PositionThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of advancing science and biomedical research. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of innovative research, academic performance, and commitment to disease-focused neuroscience. We are particularly interested in applicants with high potential or proven ability to unravel mechanisms of major brain disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and related conditions.
Responsibilities- Conduct cutting-edge research in neurological disease
- Teach and mentor students and postdoctoral fellows
- Develop and lead research programs
- Collaborate with other researchers and clinicians
To qualify for this position, applicants must possess a medical or doctoral degree, appropriate post-MD or postdoctoral training, and at least four years of teaching/mentoring experience (during residency, fellowship, and/or in the lab) by the time the appointment becomes effective.
