Responsibilities

  • Assist the kitchen staff in maintaining the cleanliness of equipment, utensils, and the physical work area.
  • Ensure proper food storage and rotation, adhering to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Operate dish-washing equipment to ensure all china, glass, and silver are cleaned thoroughly and sanitized.
  • Replace clean china, glass, and silver in their proper storage location, minimizing breakage.
  • Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils following proper procedure for cleanliness and sanitation, storing them in the proper location.
  • Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and restaurant areas.
  • Empty garbage from Food and Beverage areas into the hotel dumpster.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the back dock and dumpster area.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
