YOUR ROLE:
As a Senior Molding Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our production processes by:
- Implementing effective process controls to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Creating detailed process designs and conducting Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Integrating cutting-edge technologies and remaining abreast of industry advancements.
- Collaborating with teams to drive process improvements that optimize cycle times, reduce costs, and minimize rejection rates.
- Supporting cross-functional initiatives related to new model timelines and development strategies to meet customer expectations.
- Facilitating the development of new models and advanced technological systems to ensure efficient and high-quality launches.
- Maintaining ISO documentation to uphold compliance with certification standards.
- Assisting in the evaluation and acquisition of new equipment and tooling to enhance production capabilities.
- Contributing to budget planning and monitoring to ensure departmental financial health.
- Proposing strategies for profitability and cost reduction.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Office setting for approximately 4 hours daily.
- Manufacturing floor for about 4 hours daily.
- Occasional travel may be necessary for training or essential functions.
- Overtime may be required as needed.
- Physical activities may include frequent bending, lifting, and prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
HAZARD AWARENESS:
While performing job duties, you may encounter moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels, necessitating hearing protection in specific areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally in Plastic or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in injection molding processes.
- Experience with robotics is advantageous.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional project management capabilities.
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD software is a plus.
