Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension Borgess in Kalamazoo, MI. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care unit, utilizing evidence-based practices and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a variety of medical conditions, including those requiring critical care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and promoting positive outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 12 months of hire date.
  • BLS Provider certification from the AHA within 1 month of hire date.
  • One year of critical care experience, with a focus on progressive care and critical care nursing.
