Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension Borgess in Kalamazoo, MI. As a Registered Nurse in our Neuro ICU, you will provide professional nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with neurological conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and manage patient symptoms, side effects, and complications, communicating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care transitions and continuity.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA.
- One year of critical care experience, preferably in a Neuro ICU setting.
