About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Allergy Unit as an Ambulatory Care Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide top-quality care to patients and their families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess health status by completing a comprehensive nursing assessment
  • Perform telephone triage and notify physicians of abnormal findings
  • Establish a care plan in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth transitions of care
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • Cover other nursing roles within the department as needed
  • Provide health education to patients and families
  • Develop, evaluate, and adapt education to meet learning needs
  • Facilitate smooth operation of the ambulatory areas
  • Participate in quality initiatives, process improvements, and research activities to improve patient outcomes and patient safety
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) for areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing
  • Minimum one year recent experience as a Registered Nurse
