Estimator Responsibilities:- Develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant expenses.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and competitive offers, ensuring all project requirements and specifications are addressed.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and verify cost assumptions.
- Conduct research to stay informed about current market trends, material costs, and subcontractor pricing to ensure accurate estimates.
- Prepare and present detailed cost reports and estimates to senior management and stakeholders, providing clear explanations and justifications for proposed costs.
- Foster strong relationships with internal team members and external partners, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for commercial construction projects, demonstrating proficiency in cost analysis and bid preparation.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a deep understanding of construction processes and cost factors. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
- A proactive and ambitious approach, with a commitment to aligning with and contributing to the company's values and culture.
Competitive annual salary range of $85,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience.
