FSQ Manager II Job Description

At Michael Foods Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled FSQ Manager II to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality in our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead the quality oversight program for aseptic operations, including training and mentoring QA floor support in aseptic processing quality and compliance attributes.
  • Provide technical support and training to operational employees on GMPs, aseptic processing, and packaging, sanitation, food safety, and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance to all regulatory, customer, and corporate programs, and lead and participate in regulatory, customer, and internal audits.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of GFSI standards and champion the use of Quality Improvement Tools, Lean Manufacturing, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Develop and monitor plant sanitation programs to ensure a safe and wholesome product supply.
  • Manage the collection, trending, and reporting of data to identify root cause and areas of opportunity, including key product attributes, shelf life, and productivity while maintaining quality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field.
  • 5+ years' supervisory or managerial experience in a food plant manufacturing environment, with aseptic beverage processing preferred.
  • Completed HACCP training and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to develop and motivate salaried and hourly personnel, and work overtime, weekends, and off shifts as required.
