Position Overview

Clark Creative Solutions, LLC is in search of a proficient Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to enhance our security team.

Role Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be tasked with:

  • Monitoring security incidents and responding effectively to threats.
  • Ensuring the integrity and safety of our digital infrastructure.
  • Conducting thorough analyses of various technology devices, including Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS), as well as both on-premises and cloud-based enterprise networks.
Key Duties

The responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing device communications and performing forensic evaluations of both Windows and Linux systems.
  • Conducting timeline analyses of activities on endpoints, auditing user permissions, and analyzing logs for potential threats.
  • Identifying and triaging malware incidents.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A proactive approach and self-motivation.
  • Experience in system administration and a solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, including filesystem structures and forensics.
  • Knowledge of security persistence mechanisms, privilege escalation techniques, and lateral movement of data.

Familiarity with routine operating system activities and user behavior in the context of forensic artifacts is essential.

Technical Expertise

Applicants should be well-versed in:

  • Common categories and formats of host-based indicators of compromise (IOCs).
  • Utilizing the Cyber Kill Chain to synthesize the attack lifecycle.
  • Creating comprehensive reports detailing security incidents and their impacts.
Operational Support

As part of the Security Operations Center (SOC), the candidate will:

  • Assist in maintaining a secure environment for monitoring and incident response.
  • Develop analytics on the security information and event management (SIEM) platform to track security alerts.
  • Coordinate vulnerability assessments and artifact collection across various devices.
Qualifications

The position requires:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in security operations for journeyman level, or 1 to 2 years for junior level.
  • Proficiency in analyzing cyber threats and understanding attack classifications and system vulnerabilities.
  • Applied knowledge of network protocols and experience with security tools such as Palo Alto, Elastic SIEM, and Splunk.
Desired Skills

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience in developing content for Splunk Enterprise Security.

Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) are advantageous.
