Position Summary:
This is a temporary, non-benefitted role lasting approximately 3-6 months.

The Echocardiography Specialist will be responsible for conducting Echocardiogram procedures, including:

  • Transthoracic Echocardiograms
  • Transesophageal Echocardiograms in collaboration with Cardiologists
  • Stress Echocardiograms alongside Cardiologists

The specialist will also prepare Echocardiogram reports using Heartlab and manage the processing of finalized reports for medical billing purposes. This role requires independent judgment and initiative in performing Echocardiograms.

Additionally, the specialist will participate in ICAEL accreditation and quality assurance activities and contribute to a teaching environment for students and new staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required.
  • High School diploma or GED required, along with completion of an Echocardiography program.
  • CCI Cardiovascular Credentialing International or Registry eligibility as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography.
  • CCI or eligible Sonographers must obtain ARDMS Registry within 1 year.

Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of an Echocardiogram program is preferred. ARDMS Ultrasound (RG ARDMS) certification is also preferred.
