Job Title: Construction Project Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Director to join our team at PTS Contracting. As a key member of our executive team, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic growth of our company through key client management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate, prepare, and issue cost-effective and accurate subcontract bid/scope packages.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to establish and implement strategic account planning.
  • Assess the future implications of current decisions and actions.
  • Foster a cohesive, positive, and supportive team culture.
  • Identify, evaluate, and plan resource utilization for long-term objectives.
  • Support business development efforts and participate in client interviews.
  • Lead and manage job site mobilization and setup activities.
  • Assist in developing the division's strategy, vision, and business planning process.
  • Address and resolve client issues promptly, maximizing satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for new work with high-quality business partners.
  • Deliver effective presentations to a diverse range of stakeholders, ensuring clarity and engagement.
  • Utilize project management control systems for scheduling, estimating, cost control, procurement, and business development.
  • Establish practices to mitigate claims and conflicts while ensuring project profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with all requirements (schedule, manpower, scope, safety, quality, etc.).
  • Oversee preconstruction services and collaborate with clients and consultants to design projects that meet their needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to create and implement safety plans and procedures.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities during construction phases and provide status updates.
  • Cultivate a work environment that attracts and retains top talent at all levels.
  • Generate leads and meet with clients through various outreach techniques to promote general construction services.
  • Maintain key client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong technological skills.
  • Experience in Healthcare and/or Life Sciences is a plus.
