Member Service Representative

As a dedicated member of the OnPath team, this role performs a variety of tasks that provide cost-effective financial services for the benefit of our members. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent member service and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Assist members with new loans and products, open accounts, advise on the status of accounts, furnish information on loans, products, fees and services.
- Courteously and promptly resolve member questions and problems or properly refer them to appropriate personnel.
- Partners with members to identify cross-sell opportunities by actively listening to the members' needs.
- Performs member transactions and account maintenance as requested while adhering to Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Interviews, takes loan applications, verifies credit criteria, and determines the appropriate loan offer to submit to underwriting for review.
- Opens share accounts and provides members with all necessary information for membership.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations.
- Provides backup to Tellers.
Requirements:
- 6 months to 2 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- High school education or GED.
- A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required.
- Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
- Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.
- Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics.
- Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.
- Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization.
- Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace.
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
- Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
