Job Title: Flight Test Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Test Service Engineer to provide critical support in aircraft engine testing and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Represent our company in all aspects of engine testing, including participation in flight test-related meetings and maintenance oversight.
  • Disassemble, inspect, evaluate, and perform necessary engine repairs as directed, ensuring compliance with engineering instructions, technical manuals, and directives.
  • Provide configuration oversight and specialist information regarding test engine configurations.
  • Maintain and ensure the airworthiness of the engines throughout the flight test program.
  • Supervise, inspect, and approve all work performed on flight test propulsion systems, coordinating with teams to ensure quality and adherence to protocols.
  • Assist with logistics for parts ordering, configuration, scrapping, and repair, ensuring that all parts and equipment requirements are clearly communicated and managed.
  • Develop, review, and approve operational procedures and documentation, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with maintenance standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues, including fault messages and pilot squawks, and assist with creating and maintaining Issue Finding documentation.
  • Support the installation and maintenance of flight test propulsion systems and participate in actual flight tests as required.
Core Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years' experience with gas turbine and aircraft maintenance procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of FAR 25 certification requirements, engine performance, and operability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat or similar.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship or green card holder.
Desired Qualifications & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline preferred; A&P certification beneficial.
  • Ability to develop efficient working relationships and respond effectively to fast-paced changes.
  • Capable of producing clear, detailed, and concise reports.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and compliance with procedural directives.
