We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Test and Flight Operations team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our team, you will design and build data acquisition and ground support electrical control systems for testing space vehicle sub-assemblies and liquid rocket engines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical control systems for ground support and data acquisition
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate systems and ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Develop and implement electrical design packages, manage build activities, and support installation and activation of systems
  • Apply technical expertise and leadership skills to positively impact safe human spaceflight

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • 10+ years' experience with industrial or aerospace control system design or operation
  • Ability to design instrumentation & control systems using CAD based electrical schematic and panel layout tools
  • Knowledge of instrumentation theory and integration into data acquisition hardware
  • Experience working with instrumentation: pressure transmitters, flow meters, thermocouples / RTDs, and other field devices
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Application development in PLC environment
  • Experience in sizing, configuring, and tuning VFDs
  • Experience with video monitoring systems
  • Design experience in noise reduction, shielding, and analog and digital filtering
  • Tuning closed loop control systems
  • Experience with cryogenic temperature sensors, LVDTs, and accelerometers
  • Software development in LabVIEW, C++, Rust, or Python
