GE9X Flight Test Engineering Team Lead

Job Description Summary
The GE Aerospace Flight Test Engineering Team Lead plays a crucial role in the success of the GE9X flight test program. This position works closely with the GE flight test manager, flight test operational lead, systems engineering team, and other stakeholders to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient use of the GE9X engines on the Boeing 777X flight test program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site engineering support to the wider 777X / GE9X production support and systems engineering teams.
- Interface with the broader systems team to ensure that the technical objectives of the flight test campaign are achieved in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
- Responsible for leading the resolution of technical issues on the flight test program and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the on-site GE9X team in conjunction with the broader flight test team.
- Interface with the airframer to ensure that the engines are appropriately supporting the flight test objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Systems Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
- Systems Engineering/Engine Testing Experience.
- Flight Testing Experience.
- Flightline Experience.
- Experience working with airframers.
