Network Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Manpower Group Inc. in Boise, ID.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide network infrastructure, including WAN/LAN/WLAN networks.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN appliances.
  • Develop and recommend network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and VPNs.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to create optimal network design topologies and configurations.
  • Provide end-user training, consulting, and assistance on network-related issues.
  • Manage IT network projects, including network upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to support network procurement and development efforts.
  • Maintain current knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and participate in incident response for network or security-related instances.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of network administration experience, with expertise in Cisco IOS and Aruba AOS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with network routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, HSRP, VRRP), switching protocols (LaCP, PaGP, Etherchannel), security protocols (IPSec, GRE, 802.1x), wireless (802.11a/b/g/n), and WAN protocols (DMVPN, MPLS).
  • Ability to use log correlation tools (Splunk, Syslog) to diagnose complex network issues.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide world-class service to internal and external customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of retail grocery experience.
  • CCNP or ACMP certification.
