Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinician to join our team at Children's Home of Jefferson County. As a Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive clinical services to clients and their families, working collaboratively with our community-based programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct OLP/Intake Assessments and evaluations of Medical Necessity for youth referred/enrolled
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, monitoring progress toward treatment goals
  • Provide clinical support and mentorship to service providers/paraprofessional staff
  • Assist with staff development and regular evaluation of program staff
  • Review and maintain accurate clinical/service provider documentation
  • Participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings to discuss new cases and formulate treatment plans
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups, adapting to diverse settings and needs
  • Coordinate referrals to health, social, vocational, and educational agencies and facilities as needed
  • Provide emotional support and crisis interventions as necessary
  • Develop and maintain a range of records and reports, including patient treatment plans, case progress notes, and treatment summaries
Requirements
  • Licensure by the New York State Department of Education as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LCSW-R), or Licensed Psychologist
  • Training/certification in Functional Family Therapy (FFT) or equivalent evidence-based practice
  • Strong organizational and office skills, with excellent people skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Detail-oriented and possessing excellent time-management skills, with self-direction and ability to adapt to changing situations
Work Environment

This position requires occasional travel to local schools, conferences, and meetings, as well as moderate travel within the community for off-site/in-home visits. The work environment is primarily office-based, with occasional exposure to inclement weather conditions.

Equipment and Physical Demands

This role requires a working knowledge of related office equipment, including personal computers, printers, audio-visual equipment, and telephone systems. The position demands the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, push/pull, climb, bend, and stoop, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.
