Early Learning Lead Infant Teacher Job Description

Bright Light Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced early childhood educator to lead our infant teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, as well as a minimum of two years of experience working with young children, preferably infants.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with co-teachers to plan and implement daily lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development in infants.
  • Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and exploration.
  • Engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines, providing individualized support and attention as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress, ensuring a strong partnership between home and school.
  • Complete child assessments and participate in parent-teacher conferences to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
  • Mentor new and less experienced staff members, promoting a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with young children, preferably ages 6 weeks to 2 years.
  • Must qualify as a Group Supervisor with DHS.
  • Pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
  • Be 18 years or older and able to work in the United States.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear, and sit on the floor with children.
  • Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
Position Overview:
  • This is a full-time, year-round position with a competitive salary range of $17.50 to $19 per hour, based on experience and education.
  • Full-time staff receive paid holidays, PTO, sick time, dental or vision insurance, reduced child care, and more.
  • Full-time staff work a four-day work week.
