Job Title: Childcare Infant Teacher

Bright Light Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Infant Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our early childhood education team, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our infants.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement engaging daily lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Establish a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a sense of community and belonging among our youngest learners.
  • Engage with children during playtime, meals, and daily routines, providing individualized support and attention as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development, ensuring a strong partnership between home and school.
  • Conduct child assessments and participate in parent-teacher conferences to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
  • Mentor new and less experienced staff members, promoting a culture of growth and professional development within our team.
Qualifications:
  • Child Development Associate's certification, Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience working with young children, preferably in a setting that serves infants and toddlers.
  • Must qualify as an Assistant Group Supervisor or Group Supervisor with the Department of Human Services.
  • Pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
  • Be at least 18 years old and able to work in the United States.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, see, hear, and sit on the floor with children.
  • Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
Position Overview:
  • This is a full-time, year-round position with a competitive hourly rate, ranging from $16.50 to $18.50, depending on experience and education.
  • Full-time staff receive a comprehensive benefits package, including paid holidays, PTO, sick time, dental and vision insurance, reduced childcare rates, and more.
  • Full-time staff work a four-day workweek, providing a healthy work-life balance.
