Bright Light Academy is seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team of early childhood education professionals. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for our two-year-old students.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with assistant group supervisors to plan and implement daily lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Help create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
- Engage with children during playtime, meals, and daily routines, providing individual and group support as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development, ensuring a strong partnership between home and school.
- Complete child assessments and participate in parent-teacher conferences to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.
- Mentor new and less experienced staff members, sharing your expertise and passion for early childhood education.
- Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Two+ years of experience working with young children, preferably in a toddler or preschool setting.
- Must qualify as a Group Supervisor with DHS.
- Pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
- Be 18 years or older and able to work in the United States.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear, and sit on the floor with children.
- Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
- Supervisory experience and/or bilingual skills are a plus.
- This is a full-time, year-round position with a competitive hourly rate, starting at $17.50 and increasing based on experience and education.
- Full-time staff receive paid holidays, PTO, sick-time, dental or vision insurance, reduced childcare, and more.
- Full-time staff work a four-day work week.
