Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Before and After School Group Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders at The Granite YMCA. As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for facilitating activities for children in our Before and After School programs, leading games, STEM activities, homework help, and more. You will work as part of a team to ensure a safe and caring environment is provided for children at all times.

This is an ideal position for someone looking to further their career in education, sports/recreation, childcare, and for anyone looking to build their supervisory, management, and program planning skills. As a Group Leader, you will have the opportunity to be an important role model in many children's lives.

As a Group Leader or Assistant Group Leader, you will have flexible scheduling available, with shifts available at various local elementary schools and Y locations within Manchester. You will work Monday to Friday, 7-8:30a and/or 2:30 – 6:00p, with additional hours available during school vacations and no school days.

Qualifications:

Group Leaders must be at least 17 years old and meet one of the following requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 3 credits in Education or a related field;
  • Have 600 hours of experience working with children, or 5 years of parenting experience;

Assistant Group Leaders must be at least 15 years old, have a passion for working with youth, and be eager to act as a positive role model while participating in curriculum activities.
