Healthcare Clinic Assistant

We are in search of dedicated and energetic Medical Assistants to contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional care to our patients.
Aspire Dermatology, a prominent provider of comprehensive dermatological services, operates multiple offices and is committed to high standards of patient care, including skin assessments, cosmetic treatments, and surgical procedures.
Role Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant will undertake a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure optimal patient care while collaborating closely with the Office Supervisor.
- Assist in daily operations, including verifying patient details, documenting medical histories, and confirming visit purposes using digital tools.
- Support the preparation of patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring proper sterilization of equipment and instruments.
- Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of clinical spaces and equipment.
- Manage inventory and supplies for clinical areas.
- Handle routine phone inquiries from patients, pharmacies, and referring healthcare providers.
- Understand and execute insurance verification, prior authorizations, and referrals, while managing patient payments.
- Input lab results and communicate with patients regarding medications and lab outcomes using electronic medical record systems.
The role requires adaptability across various medical practice areas and proficiency in using multiple software applications, including Microsoft Office.
Availability to commute to different Aspire locations as needed and participate in a rotation across multiple offices is essential.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assisting Program and certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA) or a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy is preferred.
- Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding.
- Mandatory influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.
- Strong computer skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute with proficiency in spelling and grammar.
- Attention to detail and the ability to apply skills across various medical practice areas.
- Capability to comprehend and implement policies and procedures effectively.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
